Margarita González appointed as the new Director of Mexico’s National Lottery

Margarita González steps down from her role in the tourism sector of Morelos to become the next Director of the National Lottery

Andrés Manuel López Obrador (seen below), president of Mexico on Tuesday in ‘La Ma?anera’ announced the resignation of Jaime Cárdenas, in which place he assigned Margarita González Saravia the role of the the position, as the Government of the State of Morelos announced in a public post:

“The Government of the State of Morelos informs that by invitation of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Margarita González Saravia will join the federal government as general director of the National Lottery for Public Assistance, reason why she will leave the position of Secretary of Tourism and Culture, in the entity.

Governor Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo recognises the outstanding work Gonzalez Saravia has been doing in promoting the state, which has positioned Morelos as a Host of the World; and wishes her the best of success in what will be her new assignment.

Margarita Gonzalez was in charge of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Morelos since October 1, 2018, when the state president took protest to the members of his cabinet, demanding them to work in an honest way and in front of the citizens, instruction that they have followed and will maintain in favor of Morelos.

The voluntary resignation to the current position of Secretary of Tourism and Culture will be presented in the next few hours. Meanwhile, the Government of the State of Morelos is analyzing the best profiles to designate the person who will give continuity to the work in terms of tourism and cultural promotion of the entity”.
